Exciton-Polariton Quantum Optics with Thermal Squeezed States

We report the experimental generation of thermal squeezed states of light, which we anticipate will be a valuable resource to train polariton neural networks for the task of quantum state recognition, as suggested in several theoretical proposals. We reconstruct the Wigner functions of the generated states using optical homodyne tomography. We report results obtained by injecting these states into a planar semiconductor microcavity of strongly coupled exciton-polaritons.
